Workshops

RobotCity offers many workshops within the store for all age groups. The Beginner Workshop is our most popular for ages 4-10. Learning technology fundamentals such as electricity, mechanics and electronic control through various activities, students build their own robot and take them home! We also offer an intermediate workshop for students looking for the next challenge. Taking your skills obtained from the beginner series, you will master the complexities of larger and more complex kits. This workshop is double the time and the kits are twice as challenging! Another favorite is our soldering workshop. This class will show you how to assemble circuit boards and perform repair work on your own projects. In addition to proper soldering techniques and practices, we will also show you how to identify specific electronic components and troubleshoot various problems. This is a great learning opportunity and will prove useful for future opportunities professionally or for your own enjoyment. (This class is for ages 13+)Learn more about this workshop here:

We are excited to now offer a microcontroller workshop that will show you how to construct circuits that can be controlled by programs that you write. Two classes are available: Microcontroller I, where you will learn how to setup and program a microcontroller to control various circuits that you will build in the class. Take the materials home with you for future experimentation. In Microcontroller II, we will be building our Dodger robot from scratch using the microcontroller from the first class to control it. New topics will be covered including servo control and advanced programming. Learn more about this workshop here:
These workshops are great for getting kids interested in technology and make for a great learning experience for teens and adults as well. What are you waiting for? Sign up for one of these great classes today!
